When newspapers were black-and-white

I sorted through the archive and found an old newspaper “Northern worker” with my drawings. Issue celebratory: Severodvinsk, the city of shipbuilders and sailors, received the Order of Lenin. I totally forgot about this work, never doodling anything like this…

In other newspapers were unattractive reproductions of my easel works.
Pleasant exception – drawing “Forget-me-not”. Newspaper “Polar truth”

Noticed the names of newspapers? “Northern worker”, “Polar truth”, “True north”…
Boring and monotonous. Whence then the nostalgia?
