The two Michaels and wings of Victory

Victory Day. I look at photos of the parade of war veterans – like Russia, but it is Israel. They might be here – my father and my uncle. The two Michaels, the two Tabachniks… Both served in naval aviation on bombers IL-4: father was a navigating officer in the Far East, uncle – gunner-radio operator on the Crimean front. Father experienced hunger of blockade Leningrad. He lived for a difficult, but interesting and long life… Uncle killed in the first year of the war in air fight. He was 19 years old.
